Ingredients
:
- Parwal (Potol) ~ 500 gms
- Tomato ~ 1 no. chopped
- Onion (Piyaj) ~ 2 nos. minced
- Curd (doi) ~ ½ cup
- Mava (Khoa Kheer) ~ 100 gms
- Dry Red Chillie ~ 2 nos.
(Gota Shukno Lanka)
- Turmeric powder (Halud Guro) ~ 1 teaspoon
- Garam Masala ~ ½ teaspoon
- Red chillie powder ~ 1 teaspoon
(Guro Lanka)
- Ginger (Ada) ~ ½ inch ground to a fine paste
- Coconut (Narikel) ~ 2 inches ground to a fine paste
- Sugar ~ ½ teaspoon
- Ghee ~ 2 teaspoons
- Mustard Oil (Sorshe Tel) ~ 2 teaspoons
- Salt ~ to taste
- Water ~ 2 cup
Method
Of Preparation :
- Boil 2 cups of water and keep aside.
- Heat Ghee and mustard oil in a frying pan and fry minced onions, ginger paste and whole red chillies till brown.
- Add parwal, curd, coconut paste and fry for a few minutes.
- Add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chillie powder, salt and sugar and simmer till the parwal is tender.
- Add the boiled water, mava and garam masala
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
- Your POTOLER DALNA is ready to be served.
This recipe goes best with hot rice.
